Prehistoric Farm Eggs, Feeding & Dinosaur Growth
Separate DNA Lab eggs, incubation and dinosaur care in Prehistoric Farm. Check the official belly requirement when growth seems to have stopped.
Why is my dinosaur not growing?
The developer’s instruction is to keep the dinosaur’s belly over half full so it continues growing. Inspect the creature’s fullness before assuming an egg timer, shovel upgrade or boat purchase will fix growth. An egg in an incubator and a hatched dinosaur are different states.
Identify the stage that needs attention
| What you have | Next check | What is not established here |
|---|---|---|
| A completed fossil set | Dr. Ivy’s current egg prompt | Universal recipe quantities |
| An egg in inventory | An available incubator and placement prompt | Exact slot prices or capacity |
| An egg incubating | Its actual timer and hatch prompt | A universal hatch duration |
| A hatched dinosaur | Its belly and feeding prompts | A fixed meal count for every species |
| A grown partner | The current ride interaction | The first rideable intermediate stage |
The DNA Lab guide covers the first transition. Do not treat the lab’s output as a completed hatch.
Incubation is not a growth clock
Project Mirvy describes warming the egg in an incubator and watching it hatch. Use the time displayed for that egg. A timer shown for another rarity or an older session is not enough to assign a duration to yours.
If an egg appears stuck, confirm that it is actually placed and inspect the current timer and prompt. This guide does not document a paid skip, timer reset, offline incubation rule or a recovery method for server faults. Preserve what the interface says when comparing sessions.
Check fullness after feeding
Buying or carrying food is preparation; inspect the actual result of using the current feeding interaction. The public description does not give a full diet table or device bindings. Choose food according to the game’s own instructions and check the intended dinosaur’s belly afterward.
Over half is the wording of the published growth rule. Exactly-at-half behavior is not specified, so this guide recommends keeping the visible fullness clearly above the boundary. That recommendation follows the condition without inventing an exact decay rate or growth multiplier.
When can I ride?
The creator says to hop on and ride once the partner is grown, and describes raising Newborns into Elders. The listing does not identify a precise first rideable stage or publish every growth interval. Follow the current ride prompt and stage display instead of relying on a guessed number of minutes.
Plan care before another long outing. Use the ranch checklist and exploration guide to keep the next trip manageable.
Sources and scope
Based on the official Project Mirvy experience description, checked October 12, 2026. The instructions establish the main loop, not exact prices, drop rates or timers. This is a source-based guide, not an independently tested playthrough.
